The Authority is an organization that exist to fight and raise awareness about auto theft in the state of Pennsylvania. Funded by the insurance industry and created by the state legislature, their audience is broad and includes law enforcement as well as the general public. As an exploration into a new brand direction, the 2013 annual report of The Authority creates a more raw, visceral tone through the use of black and white, high-contrast graphic and text components, and a focus on a real, unstyled photography direction. A strict adherence to the underlying grid structure creates a sense of order and purpose which further supports the brand values.
